@jabel when I started my job where I work some 8 years ago, I would spend similar time you did in mass transit. I moved much closer within a year (not just because of work), and it was a life changer; with my sleeping issue, it meant I could take a noon nap at home during lunch, and that helped me a lot. The Pandemic meant we all had to work remotely for a while, and today we’re required to show up at least once a week, but even then, I don’t have an actual office or a supervisor who sees me, and that means I choose my own days. I walk over twice a week, and it’s great, it’s like they trust me to be a “big boy.” I don’t think I can go back to having a babysitter.
